We're excited to announce the latest version of Emerald Wallet, v2.10. Our desktop-based self-custodial wallet is designed to simplify the management of your cryptocurrencies. We've listened to your feedback and added several new features. This is a significant update, and we believe you'll appreciate the changes.
Firstly, we've expanded our support for ERC-20 tokens. Previously, we only supported a limited number of ERC-20 tokens, primarily stablecoins like USDC, DAI, and USDT. Now, we've opened up support for the top 100 Ethereum ERC-20 tokens. With Emerald Wallet, you can now do more than ever before, and we're not just talking about token transfers.
When we say we've "added" a token, we mean we've fully integrated it. You can now view the current price directly within the wallet, along with the token's icon. But that's not the main feature; there's more. Unlike most wallets where you have to manually add each token you own, Emerald Wallet's software scans the blockchain for every address you own and automatically detects which tokens are in your possession. You'll always see all your active tokens without manual intervention.
For those interested in DeFi, you know how crucial "allowances" are. It's when you permit someone else, like a smart contract, to use tokens from your address. Now, Emerald Wallet not only allows you to edit these allowances but also displays all existing allowances linked to your account. This includes allowances granted by you and those given to you by others. Our software scans the blockchain to track these changes automatically, ensuring you're always up to date.
